What’s Open in September?

The summer is winding down, but that doesn’t mean that the Ocean City love has to stop! Contrary to popular belief, there are many wonderful local businesses that remain open throughout the off season, especially in September. In my opinion, September is the best time to be in Ocean City. September in Ocean City is like a dream: the heat dies down, the ocean is still warm, crowds decrease, and with this article you’ll know where to eat and shop when you visit in September.

*Disclaimer* The businesses listed below are NOT the only businesses open in September. We are just showcasing a few of the very many amazing places in Ocean City.

Drip N Scoop:

Didn’t get enough of the delicious donuts or ice cream this summer at Drip N Scoop? Well, don’t you worry because their hours this September will be 6:30 am-10 pm , 7 days a week. Make sure to bring you friends, family, or even go alone to enjoy a donut (or two…or three) with delicious cold brews in the morning and try out their ice cream at night! They’re located at 960 Asbury Ave.

Dockside Kitchen:

Dockside Kitchen offers you the best views with amazing food! Enjoy the cooler September air bayside while enjoying a delicious brunch of lobster eggs benedict, crabby avocado toast (my favorite) or even the delectable short rib tacos. Their hours will be 7 am- 2 pm, 7 days a week. I can’t wait to enjoy brunch at Dockside Kitchen! They’re located at 228 Bay Avenue.

7th Street Surf Shop:

Time to update your wardrobe? There is no place better to shop than 7th Street Surf Shop! All four locations will be open throughout September, giving you the opportunity to get the most out of your fall shopping spree! Shop all of your favorite brands from Free People, Billabong, Hurley, and so much more! They sell the cutest jewelry, shoes, and every clothing option you could imagine. Need surfing gear? Make sure to stop by their main store, located at 720 Asbury Avenue. Their other two locations are 1118 Boardwalk and 654 Boardwalk!

A La Mode Ice Cream Parlor:

This delectable ice cream parlor will be open 3-9:30 pm for the first few weeks of September. Later on in the month they will be closed on Wednesdays, but will have the same hours for the other days in the week. Unsure of what to get? Some customer favorites are their F.B.I (hot fudge, homemade brownies, and ice cream) and their Cookie Heaven Sundae. They are located 301 E 55th Street.

Jay’s Crab Shack:

Jay’s Crab Shack offers you tasty seafood at a reasonable price here in Ocean City! Customers love their crab cakes and they have a delicious crab cake salad! They are open 3-9pm Monday through Friday and 11am-9pm Saturday and Sunday! They are located at 737 Asbury Ave.

Blitzs Market:

Their 21st Street location will close for the season on the second weekend of September. Their 34th Street store is open year round 7am-7pm during the weekdays and open until 8 on Friday and Saturday.

Randazzo’s: 

They are open year round, eat in or take out! 11am-9pm with free delivery all day. They are located at 34th and Asbury.

Baycats:

They will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9am-3pm. They offer nature tours and stand up paddle board lessons by appointment. Baycats is located 316 Bay Avenue.

Monkey Bread:

Fulfill all of your monkey bread cravings this September from 8am-8pm at 972 Boardwalk.

Varsity Inn:

One of your favorite go-to brunch eateries will be open from 7am-2pm every day in September! They are located at 605 E 8th Street.

The Beachin’ Bakery:

Located at 1046 Asbury Avenue, stop by The Beachin’ Bakery this September! Open Tuesday through Thursday 10am-4pm, Friday and Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 9am-3pm.

Bennies Bread & Italian Market:

Located at 1159 Asbury Avenue, they will be open Monday through Thursday 8am-6pm, Friday and Saturday 8am-7pm and Sunday 8am-4pm. They are unsure of their 4th Street location hours as of now.
