It’s a beautiful February winter day in Ocean City, New Jersey. The sun is shining, the waves are crashing, birds are chirping, and wait it’s almost Valentine’s Day. Don’t panic if you forgot about the “big day”! You’re already in the best place in the world, and if you’re somewhere else you can hop right on the Garden State Parkway for a beautiful day in the magical Ocean City, New Jersey. Below you will find a list of great date ideas for Valentine’s Day!
Share a platter of donuts and coffee at Drip N’ Scoop:
Head on over in the morning to start off the day in the best way. Located on 960 Asbury Avenue, you and your loved one can split a platter of AMAZING donuts and two cups of delicious coffee! Some customer favorites are chocolate raspberry, peanut butter, and cookies & cream. You won’t be disappointed with this breakfast choice.

Split a stack of pancakes at Uncle Bill’s
Still hungry after the donuts from Drip N’ Scoop? Uncle Bill’s Pancake House will have you covered! They have two locations, which makes this day so much more convenient and stress-free for you! Their pancakes are off the charts and their staff is super attentive; it’s the perfect way to spend your morning. My favorite pancake is chocolate chip (classic I know, but customers love all of their pancakes!) They have locations at 2112 Asbury Avenue and 4001 West Avenue. Hours: 7am-2pm daily

Relax on the beach:
Sit on the beach in the winter? Yes! Bring your favorite beach blanket, bundle up in your cozy winter jacket and sit back with your loved one. Sitting on the beach during the off-season is one of my favorite things to do! You virtually get a “private beach” all to yourself. The weather for Valentine’s Day calls for mid 40’s and sunny. Sun Rose Words and Music is open 10am-4pm. Purchase a book and spend the afternoon reading on a wide open beach!

Take a romantic bike ride:
Go for a bike ride around the island! One of my favorite places to ride my bike in Ocean City is throughout the Gardens. Beach Road is a beautiful street to ride on. Riding along, next to the beach while listening to the waves crash is magical. Wherever you decide to take your bike ride, I know that you and your loved one will absolutely love it!

Dinner at Jon & Patty’s:
Jon & Patty’s is an island favorite and with their Valentine’s Day dinner specials, you can’t miss out on this spectacular dinner! Their Valentine’s dinner specials are good from 2/14-2/16. Their specials are: Lobster ravioli in a blush tomato sauce with grilled shrimps, crispy chicken cutlets tossed with marinated artichoke hearts sun dried tomatoes capers and a lemon butter wine sauce, and grilled sirloin filet on a mushroom ragout topped with fried potato sticks and a blue cheese drizzle. Hours: 2/14 7:30am to 2:00pm 5:00pm to 8:00pm , 2/15 & 2/16 7:30am to 8:00pm

Watch the sunset:
What’s more romantic than sitting next to your love watching the sun set over the bay? One of the best sunset spots on the island is hands down the dock in between 2nd and 3rd Street and Bay Avenue. You can walk out on this public dock and sit cuddled up with a blanket watching the sunset! There is also a parking lot that you can drive right on up to!

Ice Cream Date:
After a fun filled Valentine’s Day, go on over to end the night at one of your favorite ice cream shops on the island! Kessel’s Korner is extremely popular with everyone that comes to Ocean City. Their off-season hours are 8am-8pm Thursday through Sunday. Their milkshakes and sundaes are definitely a family favorite!

Can’t make it down to Ocean City on actual Valentine’s Day? No worries! Spend a romantic post Valentine’s Day getaway in the best beach town there is!
