Most people currently know 960 Asbury Avenue as the train place that they grew up going to, or just the corner shop with the changing names and a hard to miss purple awning. Now before long, everyone will know and love it as Drip N’ Scoop.
Coffee drips and ice cream is scooped; it is as simple as that. Drip N’ Scoop, one of the newest businesses to open in Ocean City NJ, is ready to supply locals and vacationers alike with everything we need to make it through a long summer day. Owned by the same family that has brought us Sunrise Café for the past 4 years, Drip N’ Scoop currently specializes in homemade donuts, cold brew coffee, nitro coffee, and Richmond’s Ice Cream.
Every day Drip N’ Scoop gains more popularity as it moves from its soft opening into a strong summer season. What makes Drip N Scoop different from the several surrounding coffee options is the relaxing atmosphere created by the new interior and the care put into every item on the menu. Part owner, RJ Idell, has traveled the country to bring the best of coffee and foodie trends to our small town, only to be met by his mother and business partner, Sharon Idell, to help bring the ideas to life.

Cold Brewed Coffee
Customers love to hear that their cider donuts with various toppings are made fresh every morning just a few feet from where they are sold. Toppings vary from traditional cinnamon sugar to a modern matcha mixture. Other options vary daily but include homemade biscotti and fresh yogurt muffins. Continue on the traditional route with a hot cup of Counter Culture coffee, or Drip N’ Scoop offers regular and nitro cold brew options that are worth trying. The staff is happy to supply samples and educate customers on the newest drinks being brought to town, especially as the menu expands to loose teas and lattes. Everything even comes full circle by the offering of their used coffee grounds for recycling & composting.

Ice Cream Donut Sandwich
Looking into the future, Drip N Scoop will sell breakfast sandwiches, juices, and more sugar coma inducing combinations like their donut ice cream sandwich–all of which are guaranteed to be Instagram worthy. It is definitely worth a quick stop in or an afternoon spent working with the hum of drips and scoops in the background.
